Kellys provides a full range of building surveying services details of which can be viewed on their individual web pages.
In addition to those itemised, other professional services offered by the Practice include the following:
Rights to Light
Initial advice is offered to clients to include Developers, Housing Associations, Local Authorities and others either involved in development or affected by development. Such advice includes analysing the proposed development upon adjoining buildings to ascertain the extent of any light infringement and whether the development proposals do infringe Rights of Light to extent that a claim could follow.
Boundary Disputes
We have dealt with many boundary disputes over the years and it is our intention to reach wherever possible a negotiated settlement with the other party or the other party's representative without the need to refer the matter to the Courts. When instructed we call to inspect the site and advise if a claim does exist and whether this is worth pursuing. If at all possible we also advise a meeting with the other sides representative/surveyor in an attempt to resolve matters amicably without pursuing the matter through the courts.
If the matter is to be pursued through the Courts we can provide accurate reports and act as Expert Witness as necessary. See our separate section for Expert Witness.
Clerk of the Works/Site Inspections
As a firm of specialised Building Surveyors in dealing with construction projects we are often requested to provide additional site inspections in the form of a Clerk of the Works role. Kellys can arrange for such inspections with regular reports provided directly to the client concerning the progress of construction works, Health & Safety matters, adherence to the contract programme, standard of workmanship and other matters that the client may specifically request.
